Description of the Book:
So many difficult, bitter or traumatic life experiences make our hearts closed, mistrustful, and heavy. Hearts get hurt but they are capable of healing. Acknowledging and giving expression to our feelings, giving ourselves the permission to rest and heal, working with a therapist, letting go of emotions and beliefs that keep our hearts wounded are a few powerful ways of allowing our hearts to shine their innate light, strength and beauty.
The poems in this anthology are a reflection of my personal and professional life. Unhealed, hurt hearts have a deeply destructive and damaging impact on individuals, families and the society at large. Through these poems, I wish to emphasise how important and crucial it is that we take consistent, concerted and compassionate actions to heal our hearts. Just the way hurt people hurt people, healed hearts can heal hearts. Hope these poems reach, touch and move your hearts in some way.
