Description of the Book:

Love, Life & Teenage is a collection of free verse poems written at different times through the life of the author, that explores a range of emotions through the lens of a teenager, felt and experienced by the author.
"Unable to forget,
Alone the rose weeps,
The color of an Unforgiving Red"
From hatred at one's own self to learning how to love one's self, Love, Life & Teenage will take you through the rollercoaster that is Teenage.
The book includes dark and mature themes, from the very beginning, exploring the darkened corners of the teenage mind and then goes on to explain how the author eventually comes undone of their chains and begins to dream of a future, unknown to her before.
"Alone a bud grows,
Deep inside my heart,
Blooming like hope does,
From within the cracks"
Dreams are the desires you hope will materialize one day. One begins dreaming of a previously impossible future when they begin believing in their ability to fulfil their dreams, when they begin to love themselves and eventually others too.
"You gave me a name,
That ended in yours,
You gave me a life,
That ended with yours"

About the Author: Shreya makes her debut into the literary word with her book, 'Love, Life & Teenage', urging young adults and teenagers alike to revisit their pasts and recall how they made it to their present, by retelling her own journey through this poetry book. Shreya has been an avid reader ever since she was a kid, often spending her time at libraries when both her parents were at work and eventually took to writing when she found it hard to control her emotions. It started with small scribbles in a notebook that later turned to poems and essentially, the beauty of the poetic language. She believes that she doesn't write the typical poems. Neither does she use a lot of metaphors in her poems and nor does it have a rigid structure like some poem types follow. Instead she writes with whatever feeling she has in her heart and hopes that it reaches and helps someone somewhere out there. She wishes for her poems to relate to the hearts of other people and help inspire them to dream big. "I aim to reach for the stars, To have and to hold them, In the palm of my hands, When I can barely cross, The boundaries in between" - Dream
