This collection deals with identity, womanhood, sexuality, trauma, and the question of home. The poems follow a young woman at a significant turning point in her life – having recently come out, after leaving a long-term relationship, and being miles away from the country she calls home. “If Not Her(e)” grew out of a portfolio submission of the same name and has since expanded from 10 to 20 poems.

    About the Author : Meret Jael Koch is a 23-year-old writer from Germany. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, but her first poems date back to when she was ten. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comparative Literature from Ruhr-University Bochum. Since 2018, she has been publishing her poetry under the handle @wingsoutofwords on Instagram.
